What If Your Privacy And Maybe Your Life Was On The Line ?

Here we go again……….. Kenny, you have got to st………

Whaddya mean, ‘here we go again’ ?  People can deal with this stuff……. They’re just not seeing a big enough picture to be able to consider the implications of it all.

Oh come on, the average American cant deal with anything right now past their own freak-outs on their job, plus anything R*n P**l, S*r*h P*l*n says……. Besides….. it’s March Madness time. So who’d you take in the finals ?

I don’t care about Marching With A Maddening Guess or whatever it is…… Ten guys runnin’ around in their underwear on a shiny wood floor does nothing for me, never has…….. And don’t try and distract me from what’s going on in reality……….. As for Americans, of course they can deal with it…….. That’s how this nation was built. People handling severe diversity and literally putting their lives on the line while still full of positive energy and faith.

What on earth are you talking about ?

OK, you’re still not paying attention………..Tell me why Tiger Woods’ playing golf at Augusta is the top headline instead of one of these two things……….

The FBI is using Facebook, MySpace, Linked-In and Twitter to follow YOU.

They’re looking for criminals, terrorists and other assorted unsavory types…….. You know…….. Typical bitter God-clinging tea-bagging gun-owning Constitution-upholding flag-waving freedom-protecting Americans.

U.S. law enforcement agents are following the rest of the Internet world into popular social-networking services, going undercover with false online profiles to communicate with suspects and gather private information, according to an internal Justice Department document that offers a tantalizing glimpse of issues related to privacy and crime-fighting.

The current phrase you’re looking for is ‘generating a crisis too good to waste’.

I’m guessing that I don’t have to tell you that they’re also coming into 9/12 and tea party groups.

Fourth Amendment ?

What Fourth Amendment ?

I don’t use Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Linked-In, or any of those kind of ’social justice networking’ sites.    I’m already a target anyway.

I’m here at RedState, along with being on an NRA-based forum, as well as posting frequent comments at Gateway Pundit and Atlas Shrugs and of course, I’m one of the people highly active with DC Works For Us in South Florida.

I use my own name everywhere - I will not hide.   I’m an American, deeply proud of it and will defend our nation and our God-given freedom by all means Constitutional….. and that mean as The Constitution is currently comprised.

The Ultimate Reality Show Is On The Air:  “The Game Of Death”.

http://news.theage.com.au/breaking-news-world/contestants-turn-torturers-in-french-tv-experiment-20100316-qcrm.html

“The Game of Death” has all the trappings of a traditional television quiz show, with a roaring crowd and a glamorous and well-known hostess urging the players on under gaudy studio lights.  But the contestants did not know they were taking part in an experiment to find out whether television could push them to outrageous lengths, and which has prompted comparisons with the atrocities of Nazi Germany.

“We were amazed to find that 81 percent of the participants obeyed” the sadistic orders of the television presenter, said Christophe Nick, the maker of the documentary for the state-owned France 2 channel which airs Wednesday.

snip

“When it decides to abuse its power, television can do anything to anybody,” said Nick. “It has an absolutely terrifying power.”

—  —  —  —  —  —  —

That last short little paragraph……. Replace the word ‘television’ with the word ‘government’……. Because the government owns the television station, which means they sanction the whole thing.

The Running Man, Rollerball, Soylent Green, Logan’s Run and much more, all rolled up into one neat and tidy example of an anonymous US administration’s soon-to-be-out-in-the-open modus operandi for ‘health care’ that has nothing to do with ‘health’ or ‘care’ and what’s looking more and more like the coming of a one-world government.

Still unable to protect yourself, your family, your home, your neighbors who can’t do for themselves ?

Better ‘change’ that situation, or all you’ll have left is ‘hope’…….. Maybe…….. If you’re lucky.

More Clown College Antics.

If it weren’t so comi-tragic in these days of the constant threat of terrorist penetration of our vaunted ‘national security’ apparatus, it would make a great sit-com… or a third-ring, floppy-shoe, fright-wig clown act.

We have a Justice Department trying to be the CIA, FBI and  NSA all in one delightful package, under our intrepid and totally inept Attorney General Eric Holder. It’s one grandstand play after another, trying to set up MASSIVE show trials on American shores in order to give sterling individuals, like Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, a year long showboat opportunity to spiel his vitriol in front of the cameras for all of this country’s avowed enemies to see.

Obama And Eric Holder

Now, Obama’s ever-dense administration has finally gotten the message from the American people that we don’t want these people tried in civil courts and we REALLY don’t want terrorists Mirandized so that they can clam up, holding vital information that conceivably could reveal attacks pending against US citizens and interests. The “Christmas Bomber” was only unsuccessful by accident and ineptitude, otherwise another 290 passengers and crew would be dead.

The CLOWN COLLEGE persists in dealing with the international war on terror as though it were some sort of municipal parking problem. There’s a huge credibility gap between what the Obama administration and his National Security Adviser and deputy have been telling us, and what our own good sense and powers of observation are telling us is the truth.

They just don’t get it. They keep underestimating and selling the American people short. They keep getting caught, but they keep going back to that well again and again. Sort of like Obama using George Bush as the ultimate evil facing his Presidency, when the real bogey man is Obama himself.

National Security Adviser General Jim Jones was made to look positively lame by Chris Wallace in a Fox News interview. When defending his deputy John Brennan’s asinine contention that because our American penal system has around a 50% recidivism rate,  a one-out-of-five rate of released or relocated terrorists returning to the battlefield to kill more Americans or innocents is somehow ‘not so bad’. I was all but speechless when I heard him say that. The thought that kept going through my mind was, “what the hell is this guy doing up there?”

Obama’s administration says an awful lot about him unfortunately. The CLOWN COLLEGE would be funny if the stakes were not so high.

The Second Most Arrogant Man in Washington, Eric Holder

I apologize for the multiple diaries, but some things are time-sensitive. Iran is, and so is this case of the Christmas “knicker-bomber” which is quickly spiraling out of control; from a departmental security slip-up, to a full blown scandal, with criminal, or at least serious legal overtones.

It’s no longer that Obama should fire Eric Holder. The Republican Party should insist on his impeachment, and his case be turned over to either a special prosecutor or his own DOJ. This is no longer a case of incompetence disguised by brash arrogance. There were serious legal and security breaches every step of the way, which, as serious as the bombing attempt was, overshadow it…

…for the fact that one man, outside the normal chain of command in a terrorist event can circumvent that chain, then, later, cover up the level and nature of his involvement, is not just frightening. It is criminal.

This is my belief.

Going back to the January 20 hearing before the Senate committee headed by Lugar, the most stunning admission by adminsitration officials…the “other” Janet, Homeland Security chief, Napolitano, National Security chief Blair, FBI Director Mueller, is that none of them knew that Abdulmuttab had been mirandized, and hushed up. Eric Holder stated the decision was his.

That really isn’t enough, at least for the intrepid investigative reporter. As any of you lawyers know, there is a chain of evidence and a chain of custody, both of which detail every movement of the bomber from the time he was wrestled down on the aircraft over Detroit, to the time he was marched in front of judge and arraigned….and every shred of evidence taken in that process.

To say “the FBI” did all this misses the point entirely. The FBI has a boss that stands between them and the Attorney General. The FBI didn’t get involved until the plane landed, which means the pilot had radio’d ahead and agents had been dispatched. Those agents had names. Jones, Smith. And those agents had marching orders, from a superior…who wasn’t skiing at Aspen. There is a chain there, too…who told who what, and when? And how?

For if Eric Holder is being truthful in saying that this was his call, alone, and Napolitano, Blair and Mueller all say they weren’t consulted, then how did a mid-level FBI field agent in Detroit manage to totally circumvent his own chain of command and pass the ball off to some one in DOJ, or perhaps Holder directly? I am fairly certain that agent-in-charge in Detroit does not have Holder’s personal number in his Rolodex.

I don’t know about you, but if I were Napolitano or Blair, both of who are co-equals in government with Holder (or nearly so) I’d have kicked Holder’s door in within 24 hours. And Mueller should have done it even quicker, firing on the spot the agent(s) who circumvented the chain of command and his authority. Or, is FBI working under some internal marching orders no one knows about?

The idea that agents on the ground either winged it, or immediate supervisors winged it, is not an option here. This is not, and was not ever a case of mistaken “crimes”, i.e., a simple felony versus a terrorist act.

There are already lies aplenty here, and those lies began spewing only hours after the bomber’s arrest. Only who’s telling them and why?

I didn’t follow the senate hearings closely, but from the sound bytes, while revealing, they were as investigatively deep as the proverbial pool of warm horse urine. I wasn’t whispering in M’Cain’s ear (I’d have bitten it) or Sessions, but the devil is in the details here, and the people with the details hadn’t even been asked to testify. Nor is the Senate asking the right questions, in my view.

Of course, since those original 20 January hearings it has been revealed that the bomber is singing like a bird, (I doubt it) along with the usual deflections that this is the way Bush handled the shoe bomber too (nyah, nyah)…so everything is working out anyway, almost as if we’d treated him like a terrorist from the git-go. See where the White House and MSM want to redirect public angst and anger…hey, no harm, no real foul? Just as soon as we give KSM a fair trial before hanging him, we’ll convict this guy, too, depending on the deal he cut, then send off to Spandau where no one can ever talk to him again.

But without fully understanding the chain of custody…who cuffed him, who transported him and on whose orders, and where did those orders come from? By phone? Email? Fax?…this is all deflection. For the criminal analyst recreating this chain of events, then filling in the blanks, it can be a thing of beauty.

The Congress should have asked these questions from the outset, and no, there should have been no reason to wait a month for an internal review (It was close to month when the Senate opened hearings anyway.) Considering how he was screwed over by DOJ and his own subordinates, Mueller should have (probably did) instigated one the next day, and could have had a full report on his desk the day after that.

Seriously, all this can be known inside a day, just by sitting the people down, taking theit statements, and begin connecting the dots on the chain of custody and time line. Those original after-action reports have all probably disappeared, or been edited, but It wonn’t do to allow the agencies with the culpability, the most to hide, to do their own internal review as to why a man with so much to tell, and so wanting to tell it, is talking to his lawyer and not trained interrogators. That’s why Congressional oversight is there in the first place.

Either Eric Holder called this, or he is ‘covering”, at a great price, for someone else.

In either case, “the people” have no standing to intervene in this case, and investigate it more thoroughly, except through the auspices of their elected representatives. Both Boehner and Jeff Sessions should know, that if we do win back one of the Houses in November this case is coming back on-line, in all its former glory.

Just one more reason we should win. Putting Holder in jail is just one more bumper sticker I’d like to see this fall.

(Oh, if I’ve misstated any facts here, please correct me.)

INFORMATION? WE DON’T NEED NO STINKING INFORMATION…..

In colonial days, the British soldiers were called ‘redcoats’ because of the color of their uniforms. The powers that be at the time thought it made sense to have their uniforms the same color as blood so that if somebody got shot the other soldiers wouldn’t get unnerved as easily. Of course, when rifles started coming into more common use the British changed to khaki and eventually to camouflage. The concept of being visible had to be altered to conform to warfare changes. The rule of thumb for most spies has been that if you were caught spying out of uniform, you were subject to immediate execution without any rights whatsoever. Uniforms and weapons have changed over these past years and warfare tactics have changed with them as well. The rules of war have been fairly well established over the years and for the most part understood by those who participate in this industry.

They seem to be understood by everyone except those in Washington, D.C. For one thing our country, our culture is not fighting a conventional war against a conventional enemy. We do not have the benefit of seeing an enemy in matching uniforms with insignia and decorations such as was the rule in the past. We do not have the luxury of facing an enemy fighting with conventional weapons. No, this enemy uses underwear bombs or women as suicide bombers to achieve their goals. Are these our warring enemies or just misguided individuals bent on carrying out a criminal act? I personally believe that any group sworn to destroy our way of life and who will utilize any and every method to achieve their goals has declared war upon this nation. Just because they do not wear what we would call conventional uniforms does not dismiss the fact that they are enemy combatants and need to be treated as such.

The suspect involved in Christmas Day airplane bombing attempt was talking freely and openly about his plans, training and connections until the FBI read him his rights and appointed an attorney to represent him. Then he shut up and has refused to give out any more information. What a waste of intelligence. Since when do foreigners, especially those determined to cause us harm get civil rights in this country? Since when do those soldiers, yes soldiers, of other cultures seeking to destroy us have the right to a United States taxpayer paid for lawyer? Why wasn’t this person turned over to the military authorities and questioned and then scheduled for trial in a military court of law rather than a civil court of law?

Have we lost our minds? Are the inmates running the asylum? I believe they are. When the head of the FBI states he was not even consulted on whether or not this suspect should have a lawyer, what does this say for our nations leaders? No much as I see it.

So now, the administration believes we need to try any and all persons (there could be thousands) who wage war against this nation in civilian courts with civilian legal representation at taxpayer expense. I wonder if Hitler would have done the same for us if he had won the war. Probably not.

No…where we have gone wrong in this nation is to put the interests of very minor groups ahead of those in the majority. We want to be so politically correct that we can’t stand the concept that some poor boy from Nigeria who is inapt at blowing up his boxers might be traumatized by having to endure a trial in a military court designed for terrorist trained warriors. I’m sure his defense will include the fact that he failed to have a cake on his tenth birthday and that his mother might have spanked him as a child. Oh, the shame of it all.

During WWII, if Adolph Hitler knew who you were or had some reason to notice you, you were the source of much adoration and envy among the citizens of Germany. In my mind when a sworn enemy of this country such as Osama bin Laden speaks words of praise for the Christmas Day bomber, then you are not entitled to the right of an American. Those rights belong to those of us whose parents, and grandparents and others fought and died so that we could enjoy the freedom of this country. To give those same rights to someone with such careless abandon as the ones given to this bombing suspect cheapens the entire concept of civil rights.

War is not civil, wake up Washington.

More Citizens With Guns & Less Crime … A Coincidence?

FBI Reports Huge Decrease In Murders
As Firearm, Ammunition And “Large” Magazine Sales Soar

Last week, the FBI issued its preliminary 2009 crime report, showing that the number of murders in the first half of 2009 decreased 10 percent compared to the first half of 2008. If the trend holds for the remainder of 2009, it will be the single greatest one-year decrease in the number of murders since at least 1960, the earliest year for which national data are available through the Bureau of Justice Statistics.

Also, the per capita murder rate for 2009 will be 51 percent lower than the all-time high recorded in 1991, and it will be the lowest rate since 1963-a 46-year low. Final figures for 2009 will be released by the FBI next year.

According to gun control supporter dogma-”more guns means more crime”-the number of privately owned firearms must have decreased 10 percent in 2009. To the contrary, however, the number rose between 1.5 and 2 percent, to an all-time high. For the better part of the last 15 months, firearms, ammunition, and “large” ammunition magazines have been sold in what appear to be record quantities. And, the firearms that were most commonly purchased in 2009 are those that gun control supporters most want to be banned-AR-15s, similar semi-automatic rifles, and handguns designed for defense. The National Shooting Sports Foundation already estimates record ammunition sales in 2009, dominated by .223 Remington, 7.62×39mm, 9mm and other calibers widely favored for defensive purposes.

Also indicative of the upward trend in firearm sales, the number of national instant check transactions rose 24.5 percent in the first six months of 2009 compared to the first six months in 2008, the greatest increase since NICS’ inception in 1998. Through the end of October, NICS transactions rose18 percent, compared to the same period in 2008.
