Americans, Stand Up To The Statists Now!!

Now is the time, wherever you are is the place. This is the quintessential battle to save representative democracy for ourselves and our posterity. It boils down to a fundamental struggle between right and wrong, good and evil, darkness and light.
In this war between statist ideology and the rule of law as represented by the Constitution, Bill of Rights and the principles of the founders, there can be only one outcome. Freedom loving American Patriots must prevail against the forces of the extra-legal, extra-Constitutional, Marxist-style tyranny now attempting to gain absolute control of this country OUTSIDE THE LAWS OF OUR LAND AND THE FRAMEWORK OF OUR CONSTITUTION.

Barack Hussein Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and the rest of the Democrat leadership are in a criminal conspiracy to steal the freedom of three hundred and seven million Americans. They are breaking parliamentary rules and Constitutional law left and right, without regard to, and directly in opposition to, the will of over three quarters of the people of the United States of America, to force the so-called ‘Obama Care’ bill through on a vote they expect to take early next week.

This massive attempt at the government theft and control of seventeen per cent of our Gross National Product, with the end result of the absolute control of the American people in mind, has nothing to do with health care and everything to do with statist tyranny. Barack Hussein Obama, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi care not one wit for the American people or this country. They only know the thirst for raw power that is the hallmark of the Marxist/Leninist ideologue.

Many times through this battle for the survival of this wondrous land, I and others like me have repeatedly called for our fellow Americans and Patriots to stand forth and be counted. Let your voices be heard for truth and freedom. Now is perhaps the time when our need is the greatest. We must make these ‘lawmakers’ know that we know what they are about, and far more than that, we know who they are!

We must call, write, fax, email and bombard their offices in Washington D.C. and in their individual districts in the various states. Demand answers! Be respectful but tell them exactly what you think and that you know exactly what they are up to. Once again, it’s OK to be angry but don’t be out of hand. You have every right to be angry when these supposed ‘representatives’ of the people have been anything but. Don’t take no for an answer. It’s our country and our lives and the lives of your children that are at stake. Call and keep calling…visit offices and keep visiting… email and keep emailing.
God love you for your efforts and God save this great nation.

Obama and the Democrats Engage in “Illusion of Hope” While Striving for Mediocrity

Just when you think you’ve heard it all, Harry Reid strikes again.  From the man who brought you such hits as “the war is lost” comes the instant classic, “Today is a big day in America.  Only 36,000 people in America lost their jobs today, which was really good.”

Way to shoot for the stars there Harry!

Who among us wasn’t inspired by that dazzling gem of bold leadership?

He learns from the best though.

President Obama, the ever-inspiring leader of the free world, once waxed eloquent to a little girl at a campaign rally that “America, is uh, no longer what it could be.”  Although it’s not immediately clear what Obama meant by that back in 2008, thanks to his subsequent speeches designed to make Muslim terrorists join the throngs of folks swooning over his awesomeness, we know that he’s not talking about religion.  On that front, he is quite giddy in pronouncing that the “great thing” about America is that “whatever we once were” we are “no longer a Christian nation.”

Yes, aside from the euphoria liberals and socialists feel about America’s decadent decline from morality and Christianity, they find little else to cheer about.  America is “downright mean” as a nation, its citizens are “bitter” and “cling to guns and religion” as they marinate in “antipathy” toward folks who are different than they are.

And only massive government intervention, spending and usurpation of private industry and personal liberties saved us from certain economic armageddon.

Similarly, despite the polling, election results, and town hall meetings to the contrary, they hold fast to the belief that only government can save us from the coming certain healthcare armageddon.  So much so that the intellectually gifted Botox enthusiast Nancy Pelosi urged rapid passage of the healthcare bill so that we could then “find out what’s in it.”

President Obama likes to “indulge” in what Patrick Henry called the “illusions of hope” while offering no such thing.  To President Obama and his political allies “only” 36,000 people losing their jobs is a good thing.   There is a limit to the sky.  There is a boundary on the horizon.  Such is the pessimistic vision of Barack Obama.

And to him, America should diminish herself economically in favor of grand socialist experiments that have failed every time they have been tried.  Similarly, she should diminish internationally so as not to offend anyone else, particularly the peace-loving Muslim terrorists scattered about the globe.   Finally, and perhaps most importantly to Obama and those who share his worldview, Americans should diminish themselves patriotically as they ought to roll back their expectations and pride in America so as to embrace the more trendy stance of awkward shame and embarrassment toward America’s history, accomplishments and place in the world.

Gone are the days when President Reagan’s optimism permeated the malaise-soaked America that he inherited from Jimmy Carter, and to coin a phrase from Sarah Palin’s palm, “lifted America’s spirits” to restore her place upon the hill of nations.

And notice too that Reagan didn’t drone on for years blaming all of his problems on his predecessor.

Sadly for us, Barack Obama is no Ronald Reagan.  Where Reagan saw the boundless limits of a free people and free economy, Obama sees dangerous commodities that need to be taxed, confiscated, and regulated from each according to their ability to each according to their need.

The prevailing pessimism and doom and gloom approach to governing as evidenced in the Obama Administration and the congressional leadership will not–and must not prevail.

America needs leaders willing to fight for our freedom and our place in the world.  In short, folks willing to fight for our very way of life.

As Patrick Henry famously stated in his famous “give me liberty or give me death” speech to his fellow Virginians in 1775, “There is no longer any room for hope.  If we wish to be free–if we mean to preserve inviolate those inestimable privileges for which we have been so long contending–if we mean not basely to abandon the noble struggle in which we have been so long engaged, and which we have pledged ourselves never to abandon until the glorious object of our contest shall be obtained–we must fight!”

It is almost like Patrick Henry is engaging in a political debate with the Obama, the false harbinger of all things “hope” from beyond the grave.

Where leaders on the left like Obama see nothing worth fighting for but government expansion, Henry was urging his fellow citizens to defend their personal liberty and fight for greatness.  While Obama tosses out empty rhetorical flourishes about “hope” while condescendingly scolding Americans and preparing to care for them as though they were helpless school children, Henry called for America to contend with its difficulties and embrace her destiny.  Obama would have us “hugging the delusive phantom of hope” while submitting to our limitations, be they foreign or domestic, a stance which runs counter to every fiber of America’s existence.

This approach is not fitting for a leader.  Leaders throughout our history have challenged us to become bigger than our circumstances.  George Washington led the Colonial army against tremendous odds to fight for our freedom.  Abraham Lincoln fought against tremendous difficulty to preserve the union.  Americans stood firm in the face of tyranny throughout the world in the 20th century, and for over two centuries has worked hard to overcome our trials and tribulations and keep what Ronald Reagan dubbed our “rendezvous with destiny.”

It is in that spirit that America was founded, sustained and established.  It is only in that spirit that America will regain her footing.

On that fateful day in 1775 Patrick Henry was trying to rouse a sleeping giant to embrace their own rendezvous with destiny against tremendous odds: “They tell us, sir, that we are weak, unable to cope with so formal an adversary…Sir we are not weak if we make a proper use of those means which the God of nature hath placed in our power….Besides sir, we shall not fight our battles alone.  There is a just God who presides over nations.”

On that day Patrick Henry called for liberty or death.  Ironically in our day, Barack Obama has made clear his aversion to liberty by using the U.S. treasury as means to usurp private industry and personal liberties, while advocating for government-sponsored death via his healthcare scheme.

It is time that America reclaims her footing, embraces her destiny and tackles the challenges of today head on.   America deserves better than to be shackled to defeat by those who profess to lead her.  America can and will do better than her current care takers will allow despite what Barack Obama reads from his TelePrompters.

And why shouldn’t we believe that?  We’re Americans.

Prayers for Harry Reid and His Family

I’m getting word that Senator Harry Reid’s wife and daughter have been in a very serious car wreck.

It’s one thing to take shots as the man as a politician, but right now we should be praying for him and his family.

ObamaCare Nuclear Option Deal Close

Behind closed doors, the Obama Administration, House and Senate Democrat leaders are cutting a secret deal on ObamaCare.  They have come up with a way to pass the Senate version of ObamaCare in the House without any House members having to vote directly on the bill.  Now The Hill is reporting that the House and Senate Parliamentarians are helping to advise Democrats on how to pass ObamaCare.  When will the self proclaimed most ethical Congress in history start acting ethical and honest?  This 111th Congress has proven, to date, to be the most secretive, non-transparent and devious Congress in recent history.

Harry Reed hopes for a third party rescue

Fat chance Harry

Harry is desperate;

Dec. 6: Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid speaks to the media on Capitol Hill. (AP)

Facing dismal poll numbers in his home state, Nevada Sen. Harry Reid has devised a re-election strategy: welcome third party candidates who can split the opposition in the uphill battle to hold on to his U.S. Senate seat.

The Nevada Democrat and Senate majority leader filed to run for election to a fifth term on Monday, and said he embraces independent contenders in the race.

Recall several weeks ago Dems were pinning their hopes on splitting the GOP from the Teaparty movement. Suddenly, magically, there was a third party registered in Nevada. To me, this morphing of the movement into an actual political party represents nothing less than an infection of the left which has to be cured by any means possible.

Actually till now I figured the good people in Nevada had pretty much turned their backs on that third party idea. I still think any real Teaparty group will reject this bunch as being most likely a left-backed fake.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see some Soros money headed their way soon to start really pushing this crap, it’s really the only hope Dirty Harry has.

Rules for Surviving a Zombie Attack & Harry Reid’s Union “Firewall”

Reportedly, there are 32 rules that you must know in order to survive zombie attacks.

Right now, union zombies are mustering their money and their forces to make sure that Harry Reid stays in Washington to keep feeding them.

Nevada, home of Senate majority leader Harry Reid, is one of six states deemed by the union zombies at the AFL-CIO to be “firewall” states.

What is a “firewall” state?  It is a state “where a large number of Democratic officeholders—governors, senators, congressmen—are endangered, and where there are numerous union members.”

Right now, Harry Reid is one of those “endangered” officeholders, with polls showing him trailing his two likely GOP challengers by double digits.

However, November is a long way off and, like any horror movie, the bad guys never go easy.

And, Harry Reid says he can rise from the dead.

Despite his underdog status, Sen. Harry Reid declared Monday he’s confident he’ll win re-election, and he welcomed independent candidates — who could splinter the vote and spoil any GOP effort to retire the most powerful senator in the most watched race in the nation.

So, without further ado, here are 17 of the 32 Rules to Survive Zombie Attacks*:

  1. Know the zombies:  Unions are a multi-billion dollar special interest to whom Harry Reid is beholden.
  2. Name the zombies:  Make sure the public knows that unions are not “working families” (see #1; expose union fat cats, if necessary)
  3. Expose the zombies:  Make sure the public knows how much money the zombies are funneling to Harry Reid’s campaign.
  4. Explain the zombies’ goals: Higher taxes, forced unionization and a loss of liberty (see nationalization of healthcare).
  5. All politics are local: The unemployment rate in Las Vegas’ is 13.8%; overall, Nevada’s unemployment is 13% [How's that stimulus working out for ya?]
  6. Obamacare will raise taxes “on the middle class”
  7. Higher taxes = lower investment = less jobs
  8. Use the zombies’ weapons against them (see Saul Alinsky)
  9. Laugh at the zombies’ attacks, then…
  10. Punch back twice as hard (whenever the zombies air an ad, air two counter ads)
  11. Ridicule.
  12. Hold Harry accountable to his campaign promises and remind voters of his gaffes.
  13. Be creative.
  14. Use the media.
  15. Protest every Harry Reid fundraiser and event
  16. Every time an out of state zombie comes to campaign for Harry, be there (with pickets)…
  17. Make sure video cameras are in hand and batteries are charged**

* In the spirit of free and open participation, we are leaving the remaining 15 of the 32 Rules for Surviving a Zombie Attack open for comments and suggestions (please leave numbered comments below) and we will update this post accordingly.

** Video cameras are necessary to ward off unwarranted zombie attacks (see Kenneth Gladney) or, at least, to preserve evidence.

Dear Harry Reid: Is Your Ivory Tower Padded?

If Harry Reid’s Ivory Tower isn’t padded, it should be, because he is cuckoo pants. I submit as exhibit A:

Only 36,000 jobs lost, which is UP from last month. What a super awesome day! Who wants evil private sector jobs anyway, right Harry? The rhetoric of the Democrat’s has moved from incomprehensible to absolutely unbelievable. Talk about shock and awe; can he really be this much of a dunce? Such woefully clueless rhetoric shows that not only have they never owned a business or ran a business, but few have even worked for a living. They are like a bunch of little boys playing “business Daddy” dress-up.

If Dr. Seuss looked at Obama, oh the things he’d see!

In celebration of the National Association of Education’s yearly “Read Across America” project, which started Tuesday, March 2, First Lady Michelle Obama appeared at the Library of Congress and read to a select group of youngsters Dr. Seuss’ classic children’s story, The Cat In the Hat. Her choice was appropriate enough considering that Tuesday also marked the good doctor’s birthday, who would have been 106 if still alive.

The Cat In the Hat was written by Dr. Seuss, a.k.a. Theodor Seuss Geisel, in 1957 as a response to a challenge by the Life magazine writer, John Hershey, who specifically mentioned Geisel as an ideal illustrator for modern children’s books in a May 25, 1954 article titled “Why Do Students Bog Down on First R? A Local Committee Sheds Light on a National Problem: Reading”. Geisel’s publisher, Random House, asked him to write a new style of engaging children’s literature using a limited vocabulary of only 400 words, which the publisher’s estimated school children were learning at the time. Geisel cut the suggested list down to 223 and added 16 of his own.

Using the pseudonym of “Dr. Seuss”, Geisel’s The Cat In the Hat proved an instant hit and the story of the two rainy day bored young children first enjoying then panicking over the crazy, chaotic antics of a floppy red-and-white stripped hat wearing tuxedo Cat accompanied by his eagerly undisciplined partners-in-crime, Thing One and Thing Two still resonates with young readers 53 years later.

In fact, The Cat in the Hat is such a fondly remembered piece of American literature that it was recently quoted in the US Senate when, in 2008, Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid, in complaining of a stalled immigration reform bill likened the problems on the Senate floor with the chaos caused by the Cat and read out from the book into the Senate record, “‘That is good,’ said the fish.’He’s gone away, yes. But your mother will come. She will find this big mess.’”

Reid went on to explain, “If you go back and read Dr. Seuss, the cat manages to clean up the mess.” A tip o’ the Cat’s hat to whichever analyst so succinctly commented about Reid’s failure to get the bill passed by saying “the Cat in the Hat did not have to contend with cloture.”

Now, considering that if Dr. Seuss was alive today as a cantankerous 106 year old watching the purposeful destruction of America through the Cloward-Priven strategy and Saul Alinsky formulated chaos, he’d want to revisit his The Cat In the Hat characters using the cadence of his Green Eggs and Ham with President Obama as the hammy Cat, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi as Thing One yegg and Harry Reid as Thing Two yegg:

I do not love the Rule of Law.
I do not claim citizenry from Paw.
I do not follow Constitutional rules.
I do not care if I hurt Democratic mules.

I party every Wednesday without fail.
I drink like a fish and dine on quail.
Everything revolves around me, me, me.
I won! I won! So let me be!

I’m off to golf instead of work.
I snub the Brits and Gordon Brown’s a jerk.
I grovel in front of every despot I can.
America needs to learn that I’m the Man!

Nancy Thing is always at my side.
To my star she’s hitched a ride.
Harry Thing makes quotes so snide.
Come November 2010 they’ll have no place to hide.

The three of us America want to socialize.
Socialize! Socialize! America we want to socialize.
Obamacare is our master plan.
To take America down the can.
Obamacare! Obamacare! We’ll ram it through!
With new taxes now but no healthcare due.

The sick and elderly will wait and wait.
Fate! Fate! Succumb to fate!
Death panels and abortions late!
The old the over-taxed young will come to hate.

ARE YOU A CITIZEN BORN AND TRUE?
ARE YOU OF THE RED, WHITE AND BLUE?

I keep my past full under wrap.
I will not, care not to my citizenship provide a map.

DID YOU NOT SWEAR UPON A BIBLE?
DID YOU KNOW THAT YOU ARE LIABLE?

I did swear upon a Bible.
I did not care that I am liable.
I did not dwell on my Kenyan family tribal.
I will not worry about birthers libel.

DID YOU INTERNALIZE KARL MARX?
DID YOU HOPE FOR CIVIL WAR SPARKS?

I did internalize Karl Marx.
I did hope for Civil War sparks.
I did not love America ever in my life.
I did not and neither did my wife.
I did not become President to bring you hope.
I care not; will not because I’m no dope.

I became President to bring you change.
With communist failure that is destructive and strange.
